Why Irnerius?
Irnerius (pronounced ir-NEER-ee-us) is named after an Italian jurist. Irnerius is credited as the founder of the University of Bologna, the oldest university in Western Europe, founded in the 11th century. Bologna was the first to use the term University and has influence on today's college and universities. Irnerius was referred to as "the lantern of the law". The team here at Irnerius aims to be a lantern and light for students and parents. We are committed to serving them as they navigate the challenging decision-making process of college, financial aid, enrollment and its financial implications. Our platform illuminates the path.

Oratory
Students can see salary and debt by major. It helps them understand why some degrees make more financial sense than others , and that makes their choices much more grounded. Families rarely bring up the cost until I ask about it directly. Irnerius encourages those conversations earlier, which is so important.
